Captain Gene Chrzanowski (pronounced "Kri-za-now-ski") was born in Bayonne, NJ. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (B.A.'70 - Cum Laude) and Georgetown University Law Center ('73). After law school, he served as a Legal Assistance Officer in the USAF, receiving an honorable discharge.
During a 29 year career as a trial lawyer in the D.C., Northern Virginia and Southern California areas, representing private employers and insurance carriers, he passed full bar exams on the first attempt in all three of those jurisdictions, and became a shareholder in the firm of Littler Mendelson, a large national law firm.
Long an an avid boater and fisherman, he previously owned boats that he fished in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, as well as the Chesapeake Bay and Gulf of Mexico.
After leaving the practice of law, he chose a second career as a charter boat operator. Gene has captained the Fatal Attraction personally since April 1, 2005. Take his word for it, being a charter captain is a lot more fun than being a lawyer.
All of the fish photos on this site, by the way, were taken since Capt. Gene began personally operating the "Fatal."
Captain Gene promises that he and his mate will try as hard as possible to make your charter trip in Key West not only rewarding fish-wise, but also fun-wise. A great charter trip needs to be both.
