Your Captain, Gene Chrzanowski (pronounced Kri-za-now-ski), owns the one-man corporation known as Anglerphile, Inc., which owns and operates the "Fatal Attraction." Except for very rare circumstances, he personally captains the boat on all charters and has done so since Anglerphile, Inc. bought the boat in March, 2005. All the fish seen on this website were caught while Captain Gene was personally operating the"Fatal Attraction"
He was born in Bayonne, NJ. and attended, later, Roselle Catholic H.S., the College of the Holy Cross, and Georgetown University Law Center. Before entering the private practice of law, he served on active duty in the USAF and in the reserves.
During a 29 year legal career, he passed full bar exams in the District of Columbia, Virginia and California, all on the first attempt. He practiced with several major law firms and became a shareholder in the Long Beach, CA, office of Littler Mendelson, a large, well-known national firm representing employers. In his career, he tried lawsuits and administrative hearings in D.C., California, New Mexico, Florida, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.
After owning private boats for over 20 years, Capt. Gene obtained his captain's license in 2003, and subsequently embarked on a second career as a charter boat captain. He's now become well-known enough in the Key West area that he is regularly asked to be an on-air contributor on the daily weekday morning "From the Water" show on 1300 AM here in the Keys, discussing the local fishing scene. On April 11, he was even a guest for a couple of hours on the nationally broadcast Saturday radio show "World of Boating". You can hear that interview by downloading the archived podcast of it at www.worldofboating.com. If nothing else, it might be a great cure for insomnia.
Run Yuong, your mate, was brought up on Long Island before coming here on vacation about 14 years ago and never leaving. He's mated down here ever since, so he has a wealth of local fishing knowledge and experience.
Previously, he trained in culinary arts at Johnson & Wales and worked as a chef. He is also a proud former member of the United States Marine Corps.
Run probably loves fishing even more than Captain Gene, and his enthusiasm for his job is contagious. You'll find yourself feeling it, too. Best yet, he's more than willing to share his wealth of fishing knowledge with our customers (or, for that matter, anyone who asks him in a nice way), helping you to hone your own fishing skills and making you more aware of what we're doing and why.
Run and Gene promise you that they will go out of their way to do whatever they can to make your charter a great one --- to make you want to come back again and to send your friends as well. They truly believe that the only repeat customers they don't have are the ones whom they have yet to meet. Try the "Fatal Attraction", and we think that you'll agree.
